Lake Cypress Springs
Drowning Considered An Accident
Franklin County is working the drowning at Lake
Cypress Springs Wednesday night as an accident until such
time the investigation leads them in a different direction.
According to witnesses and authorities Mr. Henson of Winnsboro
was wadding in the lake with Becky Sue Taylor Henson when
he dropped out of site. His father informed this news service
yesterday that his son knew how to swim and was not married
to Becky. The Mt Pleasant Daily Tribune indicates the two
filed for marriage license in Wednesday’s paper. The dad
also stated that Melissa Millsap, who is wanted by Hopkins
County, has at times been at his son’s residence. Millsap
escaped in handcuffs and barefooted after a high-speed chase
last week. Reportedly she hid in a tree after escaping from
the patrol car. Mr. Henson’s dad claims Millsap’s handcuffs
were later removed at a restaurant in Winnsboro according
to statements Millsap allegedly has made. (Reported: 2004-07-09,
