Winnsboro 4-H Service Project
Ten members of 4-H, along with their parents, were hard at work constructing a paved walkway, flower boxes, as well as planting and decorating the space for the school and community to enjoy. What was once a lone pergola has now become "Memorial Garden", complete with an engraved boulder at the start of the pathway to remind those of its purpose. The 4-H club would like to thank those who helped them in their efforts; Winnsboro Grass and Stone, Winnsboro FFA,
4-H Junior Project Leader and MMS student, Tud Krier wanted to organize this as his community service project because, "We want students to remember Ms. McElroy and Aubrey by being surrounded by beautiful things, just like they were." The Club invites the public to visit "Memorial Garden" to enjoy the new surroundings and pay tribute to their memories. |
