"BAND AID" CONCERT

Report and pictures by Molly Blair

Ten bands leading up to  the well known Seventh Day Slumber played to enthusiastic music lovers at Band Aid this past Saturday April 19th.  Winnsboro High School's football field was the sunny pleasant backdrop for this all day event.

Hosted by the faith based drug task force Enough is Enough and supported by many volunteers and sponsors Band Aid was free to the public.  The banners stated that Band Aid was about "healing the wounds of a drug crazed culture."

The bands that performed were Faint of Heart, Elliots Run, Picked Last, Teen Mania, For Every Day, Anniversary of a Tragedy, Taperlane, The Trust Project,  Thunder, Luminate and Seventh Day Slumber.

Besides the musical venues the football field was lined with cool tee shirt and jewelry stands.  If you want to know who attended, just look for the sunburned noses!

Friends Caitlyn Johnson, Molly Blair and Toryn Vasquez enjoy the concert.

People were starting to gather and the bands were getting ready to perform.

Kyle Simmond's band performed early in the day. He thought the concert "was awesome."
