It's been a really busy month, but I think I write that a lot here. I keep thinking life will slow down, yet it never does. The good thing is that I enjoy most of what keeps me so busy, although there are times I wish my horse would put a cork in it so I don't have to clean the pasture so often. For the whole month of September I have been in rehearsals for a play at the Main Street Theatre in Sulphur Springs. Two other Winnsboro actresses, Mia Tallant and Darla Pierce, are in the show, too, so we have fun driving to and from rehearsals together. It is especially fun when we are all in character and trying to run lines. We do make the driver pay attention to the road. The play is Daddy's Dyin', Whose Got the Will, a comedy by Del Shores. I play Mama Wheelis, the Matriarch of the family that has gathered because Daddy is dying. It is funny in places and poignant in others, and even has a little bit of singing. It has been a real pleasure to work with all the other talented players, and everyone is giving 110 percent to make the show a crowd-pleaser. We open this Thursday and run Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings this weekend and next. Show Dates: Main Street Theatre, 225 Main Street in Sulphur Springs, Texas. To contact the theatre for reservations call 903-885-4915 or visit their Web site to make an online reservation Until next time....
